Amazing shaped and unique desk designed by William Watting for Fristho Franeker, The Netherlands 1960. This desk was custom made for a client in the early 60s. We bought it together with a very nice lowboard from the same designer.
This beautiful desk is made of high quality walnut wood and has a beautiful warm grain to the veneer. It has three drawers at the right, one door at the left and also one folding door at the back. Behind these doors there are 3 small drawers inside. The desk has 6 legs in total made of black lacquered steel. Some very nice details are the solid brass corners, nicely crafted wooden handles and inlaid white matte glass at the back. It’s in very good condition with normal wear from age and usage. If you are looking for a unique desk from mid-century then this will be a great addition to you interior!
The floating top is refinished with high quality UV protection lacquer with preservation of authenticity.
