Magnificent pair of stylish Italian nightstands designed by Vittorio Dassi for Dassi Mobili Moderni, Italy 1950. These two side tables or nightstands are both refined and elegant in every way. They are characterized by an unusual sculptural shape. The frame is made of dark ebonized wood and the casing is executed in rosewood. Each nightstand is equipped with a drawer with on top a green - grey colored glass. On second surface it has an original etched clear glass top shelf, very thick and finely decorated on the sides. These nightstands are very collectable, functional and elegant they would enhance any style of interiors adding a chic touch. They are still in very good original condition. A really nice catch for any modern home, bedroom or interior.
Vittorio Dassi has been one of the most important Italian designers and manufacturers of the Italian Mid-Century Modern period, all his items are very stylish and charming, always well designed and finished with valuable materials. Dassi Mobili Moderni has been also the main cabinetmaker choosen by Gio Ponti.
