Very nice and rare set of eight armchairs model 1001 designed by Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokka Møbler, Norway 1960. These office or dining chairs have a base made of walnut wood and stainless steel pieces and the shell is upholstered in original dark brown leather. They are covered in a 'channeled' technique which gives these chairs a very nice and modern appearance. The combination of the light wood, the dark brown leather and the steel is a classic and timeless combination. The aesthetic is very typical Norwegian, with robust, sturdy lines and grand measurements.
These chairs are in very good original condition with normal wear due age and usage. The leather has some light craquelure. They are priced and only for sale in the set of eight. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
