Scandinavian extendable dining table in wenge Denmark 1960

Beautiful shaped Scandinavian dining table by unknown designer or manufacturer, Denmark 1960. Unfortunately we don’t know the designer or manufacturer, but we bought it together with dining chairs by Nanna Ditzel. This well-crafted table is characterized by a strong and solid construction executed in wenge. This is realized by the sharp and clear lines which are visible in the corners and the rectangular top. The wenge has a natural expression due to the beautiful wooden grains and warm tone. The black laminated top is supported by sleek tapered legs, creating a clean and transparent composition which is typical for Danish Mid-Century Design. It can be extended from 150 cm to 233 cm by pulling out the two side leaves underneath the top, so it can use up to six or eight chairs easily when extended. Fantastic designed table with much beautiful details and in amazing shape. The legs could be dismantled easily for transport.
This fantastic high quality dining table is in very good condition, the wenge is totally refinished with a high quality UV and water protective lacquer with preservation of authenticity. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
