Beautiful and very comfortable three-seater sofa model 442/3, designed by French designer Pierre Paulin for Dutch manufacturer Artifort, The Netherlands 1962. This design succeeds at being both fundamentally modern and classic at the same time. They consist of a large body that stands on four chromed steel bars as legs along the front and back. The combination of the chromed bars and leather give this sofa an modernist sophisticated look, making it look like the upholstered bodywork has been sculpted around them.
The sofa combine a rectangular shape and long lines with rounded edges. The low back and deep seat give it an open look with extra cosiness and comfort provided by the individual loose cushions. This three-seater sofa is upholstered in original black leather with beautiful patina.
Iconic modern sofa in very good condition with minimal wear due time and usage. It is marked with a metal tag on one of the legs. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
