Beautiful shaped pair of lounge chairs model Pratfall designed by Philippe Starck and manufactured by Driade Aleph, Italy 1985. This famous iconic chair was designed for the Café Costes in Paris. Starck used a black lacquered tubular metal tripod shape to avoid making it too bulky, which would have hindered the movements of the waiters. The shell is made of high-gloss black lacquered curved plywood and the seat is padded with polyurethane foam and covered with high-quality black leather. These stunning rare lounge chairs are in very good original condition with minor wear due age and usage. Marked with a sticker underneath the seat. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
