Elegantly crafted set of six dining chairs model 113 designed by Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel for Poul Kolds Savvaerk, Denmark 1955. These stunning chairs are a perfect representation of Danish mid-century modern design, featuring elegantly curved teak frames and meticulously woven cane seats. The natural materials blend harmoniously to create a look that is both organic and sophisticated. Very nice shaped with beautiful details like the legs that taper slightly to both sides.
The teak wood provides a sturdy and durable frame with a rich, warm hue, while the cane weaving offers breathable comfort and a lightweight aesthetic. This combination not only enhances the visual appeal of the chairs but also ensures they are comfortable for both casual and formal dining.
These chairs embody Nanna Ditzel’s philosophy of functionalism and beauty, with a focus on clean lines and high-quality materials. They are ideal for those who appreciate the timeless design and craftsmanship that are hallmarks of Scandinavian furniture.
The chairs are marked underneath the seats under the cane with a metal tag “Danish Furniture Control”. This model is very hard to find especially in a set of six and in this excellent condition. The teak wood is cleaned and totally refinished with a high quality UV and water protective lacquer with preservation of authenticity. The cane is professionally renewed like it original was. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
