Beautiful shaped coffee table designed by Louis van Teeffelen and manufactured by Webe Meubelen, The Netherlands 1960. The table is made of veneered teak supported by an organic sculpted solid teak frame and it has an original woven rattan magazine / newspaper shelf. The original rattan is fully complete and undamaged. Some very nice details are the brass spacers between the frame and the reading shelf, the optical floating tabletop and sculpted framework.
Webe was one of the better furniture makers from The Netherlands and they inspired their furniture on the Danish craze from the same era. The quality is pretty much the same as most of the Danish designs from that period. This coffee table is in very good original condition with minor wear due time and usage. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
