Beautiful boomerang shaped writing desk designed by Louis van Teeffelen and manufactured by Webe Meubelen, The Netherlands 1960. The desk is made of veneered teak wood and is supported by a solid teak wooden frame with brass details. This high quality desk has very nice details like the well-crafted handles and tapered solid legs. It features three drawers, a pull out leaf and a drop-front storage cabinet. Can be used as a freestanding desk with a nice bookshelf on the frontside.
Webe was one of the better furniture makers from The Netherlands and they inspired their furniture on the Danish craze from the same era. The quality is pretty much the same as most of the Danish designs from that period. This stunning writing desk is in excellent condition; it is fully refinished with a high quality UV and water protective lacquer with preservation of authenticity. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
