Iconic set of four bar stools model Birillo designed by Joe Colombo for Zanotta, Italy 1971. These pop art bar stools feature a white fibreglass base with black rubber edge, heavy duty chromed metal pole shaft with foot rest and black leather upholstery. The seat can swivel and has an automatic return mechanism. This stool was awarded the golden medal at the international exhibition m.i.a. in 1972 and is exhibited in several museums worldwide. It is very hard to find a single Birillo stool, let alone find a matched set of four barstools. They are all signed underneath the base with Zanotta, Mod Bistro. embossed logo. Stunning early design by famous designer Joe Colombo. The set is in fantastic original condition with a very nice patina. An incredible catch for any modern home, penthouse apartment or interior.
