Superb shaped “Genius” two-seat sofa designed by Illum Wikkelsø and manufactured by CFC Silkeborg, Denmark 1960. This elegant sofa has a beautiful open character. The cylindrical solid rosewood legs run smoothly over into the back and armrests. The cross-connections create a nice ladder. Slightly curved make the back and arms not only an interesting addition to the design, they also make this sofa very comfortable. The soft cushions are upholstered in cognac leather. The leather is in great condition. Minor traces of age and use are visible and create a very nice patina. The sofa is marked with a “Silkeborg” metal tag underneath the seat. Stunning and very interesting two-seat sofa in a fantastic original condition. An incredible catch for any modern home, office or interior.
