Amazing set of eight iconic model CH29 dining chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by Carl Hansen & Søn, Denmark 1952. This design classic is also called “Sawbuck chair” because the model resembles a sawhorse. The sawhorse was traditionally used in the Scandinavian countries by carpenters and lumberjacks. As all Wegner designs, the CH29 is expertly constructed and has the very characteristic, appealing Danish looks. This set is constructed entirely in a subtle combination of oak wood and teak plywood. Superb crafted chairs and early examples which are in very good condition. They are all refinished professionally, some chairs have repairs. This very hard to find set of eight chairs is a really nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
