Beautiful Iconic floor lamp model 2131, better known as Serpente designed by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce, Italy 1965. 'Serpente' translates to 'snake', which is clearly reflected in the thin neck of the lamp that curls around the heavy base. This design makes the light shade easy to move, It can be adjusted into several positions. The lamp shade is made of methacrylate molding techniques, innovative for the time in which it was designed. It has a white lacquered steel structure with a weighted base. This beautiful organic shaped floor lamp gives beautiful diffused light when lit.
The floor lamp is in very good original condition with normal wear due time and usage. It uses a E27 bulb up to 60 Watt. Marked under the base. An incredible catch for any modern home, office or interior.
All our lights are checked, cleaned and are suitable for use in the USA. For US usage you would only have to change the plug or get a holiday converter if needed.
