Beautiful elegant shaped waste bin designed by Einar Barnes for P.S. Heggen, Norway 1960. This Danish modern two-tone wastebasket is made of teak and oak wood. The lovely ovoid shape is made of teak plywood sides with solid oak sculptural end pieces that extend into two handles, the much rarer version of this piece. Note the exquisite construction with the joinery visible from the bottom. A waste bin with delicate construction that is lightweight. It is in very good original condition with a nice patina due age and usage. Stamped on interior bottom P.S. Heggen Nordfjordeid. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
